Do you have words that make you go bleetttccchhh? The spark for this topic....Snoop Dogg. I have to say, I'm not a Snoop Dogg follower, but I was intrigued by the recent education provided by my friend David of the newer-hipper pig latin courtesy of SD. Words ending in "izzle." David hates words ending in "izzle, fo shizzle (look it up) :). This led to the "what are your worst words" discussion at a party amongst a few friends the other day. We began sharing our worst make-you-shudder words. And, ahhhh.....I know what you are thinking. It's the standard four letter violators (fo shizzle), right? Wrongo Sommelier. My friend Susan's worst word is "sauce" and my friend Cindy's worst can't-say-without-a-shudder word is "supper."(.......crickets.........) :) Susan explained her worst words are not random. They come from a tactile and contectual personal experience. Take the s-word for example. uh....no...not that s-word. The other s-word. :) As a young girl in New York City, she was watching a large man eat spaghetti (sauce) in a restaurant and he was talking (a lot) with his mouth full of s-word. Take a moment - visual......zzzggggeeeeegk! Do you have an everyday word that makes you go (shutter) zzzzggggeeeegggk? Share a "chip."
I had to add this link courtesy of Susan. Susan asked Cindy to check out the tasty salad and dessert options for - yes, "supper." http://www.marthastewart.com/.
